Mystic Blue is offering special Cruises with spectacular views from the lake of this year's Chicago Air and Water Show.

This is a remarkable way to view the city's beautiful landmark buildings and the 2009 Air & Water Show while enjoying a bountiful buffet, live entertainment and dancing. Departing from Navy Pier and cruising Lake Michigan, Mystic Blue offers a fun and friendly experience.

Mid-America Bonsai Show & Sale
Location: Chicago Botanic Garden 1000 Lake Cook Rd. Glencoe, IL

The Midwest Bonsai Society presents its 33rd Annual Mid-America Bonsai Exhibition, renowned as the best in the Midwest and one of the top three in the country. This annual bonsai show and sale draws enthusiasts from all over the United States. Visitors can view a judged display of more than 200 specimens, as well as selections from the Garden’s own outstanding bonsai collection. Bonsai Master Hiroyoshi Yamaji will judge this year's show.

More than a dozen vendors will offer everything bonsai related, including bonsai trees, raw nursery stock, pots, tools and supplies. Sale hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all three days. Show hours are from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Free demonstrations and lectures will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Seventeen workshops are presented for all levels of enthusiasts. Registration is required and materials fee varies.
