80th Annual Bud Billiken Parade and Picnic
Location: King Drive and 39th Street
The country's largest African-American parade, named after a mythical guardian of small children, features a tribute to President Barack Obama along with 320 units, such as high-school drill teams, floats, dance groups, nearly 50 marching bands and the Bud Billiken King and Queen

The 14th Chicago Korean Festival
Location: 3200-3400 BrynMawr Ave. Chicago
The 14th Chicago Korean Festival is held from August 8th-9th on 3200-3400 W BrynMawr Ave.(It's between Kimball Ave. and Kedzie Ave.) In this event, Korean traditional performances like traditional dance, music, and traiditional martial arts called Takwondo will be showed. Not only that, but contemporary arts like fusion jazz are shown at the same time. Also, people can eat delicious Korean food, too. People who can't eat spicy food have other options, so don't worry about that.
This is a free event, and all guests are welcomed.
